“I really hope ,” Scherzer said. “I’m a high adrenaline pitcher, you put me in the right atmosphere, that atmosphere makes you pitch better. I actually hope that’s the case, because it would actually prove that I don’t bring my absolute best in situations that don’t require it.”Bochy said that right-hander Dane Dunning, who has a 4.73 ERA in 12 starts this season, will now move into the bullpen due to Scherzer’s return.
