Rap Sh!t Season 2 has been delayed significantly at Max amid the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
reports that the hope is for the writers’ and actors’ strike will be over by then, which would allow the actors to promote the new season., will premiere with two episodes. This will be followed by one episode each week until the season finale on December 21.The series follows “two estranged high school friends from Miami, Shawna and Mia ,” per the official season 2 logline. “They reunite to form a rap group.
”Rap Sh!t is executive produced by Issa Rae and showrunner Syreeta Singleton, as well as Montrel McKay for HOORAE, Jonathan Berry, Dave Becky for 3 Arts Entertainment, and Jim Kleverweis. Hip-hop duo Yung Miami and JT of City Girls serve as co-executive producers, along with Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas for Quality Control Films and Sara Rastogi and Jax Clark for HOORAE. Rae’s audio content company Raedio handles music supervision for the series.
