.MauYRicky named kings of carnaval Miami 2020
Mau y Ricky arrive at Univision's Premios Juventud 2018 at Watsco Center on July 22, 2018 in Coral Gables, Fla. -- known for their smash hits "Mi Mal" and "Desconocidos" -- have been named the kings of Miami’s carnaval 2020.
The announcement was made by The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana during a press conference on Wednesday . This is the first time Carnaval Miami has crowned a second generation of family musicians. “As a by-product of The Kiwanis of Little Havana’s mission to enrich the lives of generations of Miami’s youth through a host of community programs, it’s truly an honor to be able to do better for our own community -- keeping us close to home,” said Jesus Lebeña, president, Kiwanis Club of Little Havana in a press statement. “Carnaval Miami has been feeding our hearts and souls since 1978 when it crowned its first King of Carnaval.
The half Venezuelan, half Argentine singer-songwriter duo has three nominations at the 2019 Premios Juventud and officially dropped their remix to “La Boca” featuring rising Puerto Rican artists Lunay.
