TikTok 'doctor' Matthew was cleared of charges on Tuesday after allegedly impersonating a medical professional on the social media platform, according to his lawyer Dumisani Mabunda.Matthew Lani - who courted controversy and criminal charges after claiming to be a medical doctor on TikTok - hobbled out of the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on oversized crutches as a free man, without setting foot in the dock.

Lani was detained by security guards at the Helen Joseph Hospital on Sunday night, with Hawks investigators announcing he would face charges of impersonating a medical doctor.
