Nottingham Forest were left pondering a “missed opportunity” after Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Manchester City.
Two early goals for the hosts made it an uphill battle for Steve Cooper’s side against the reigning Premier League champions, but they regrouped and had some positive moments towards the end of the first half. They then improved further after the break but couldn’t capitalise on holding a numerical advantage after Rodri was sent off for an off-the-ball incident involving Morgan Gibbs-White.
