Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for new additions before the end of the transfer window.
Celtic have reportedly been told they will have to stump up £4million to land Brondby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden this summer.
Brendan Rodgers wants another attacker added to his squad before the transfer window shuts this month with Kyogo Furuhashi and Hyeongyu Oh the two attacking options for the boss at this stage. The Danish Under 21 international is reportedly high up on the Irishman's wish list after enjoying his breakthrough campaign last term - where he scored 10 goals in 37 games for the Superliga club last season.
The 21-year-old has openly spoken about his desire to move abroad this summer if the right opportunity emerges - and The Scottish Sun now state that a £4million price tag has been placed on the frontman amid the Scottish Premiership champions interest. The striker is contracted to the Danish side until 2027 having penned a new contract in March this year - before an upturn in his form saw transfer interest spike.
However, Brondby’s director of football Carsten Jensen has confessed to Danish outlet TV3 that he still believed Kvistgaarden would be an important player for them this term. Asked about interest from Celtic, Jensen responded: "Basically, it has not been part of the plan. We are still in the process of transfers. It's both relation to ins and outs. We still need to adjust the number of players in the squad, even though we are getting to where we want to be.
