Viewers watching the latest season of MasterChef SA – which hit television screens on 28 February – will have immediately noticed the new and impressive food pantry, and Capetonians may also have noticed a very familiar setting if you’ve managed to visit the V&A Waterfront’s Makers Landing.
Andrew Mills, Group Executive: Marketing at Pick n Pay, says sponsoring the show provided a great platform to showcase the absolute best in fresh at Pick n Pay and its tantalising approach to surpassing the demands of foodies. It has set aside part of its triple volume events space to become a film set for MasterChef, and all of the cooking action in the show’s 20 episodes takes place against the stunning backdrop of Cape Town’s commercial harbour and the Cape Town Cruise Terminal.
