Rand Water will conduct extensive maintenance between June and July that will affect several Johannesburg areas. The plan is that the maintenance will take place between 22 June and 29 July. This will subsequently lead to days-long water disruptions hitting parts of Gauteng on a set schedule.
“A maintained water infrastructure ensures uninterrupted water supply for the current and future generation.”It advised residents to store water ahead of the maintenance that will impact their area.Johannesburg Water’s systemsPalmiet will be affected on 1 July, when it will pump at 60% for eight hours, on 15 July pumping will be reduced to 68% for 50 hours, and on 29 July pumping will be reduced to 76% for 40 hours.
