Slippery conditions have made the bleachers unsafe for spectators, the city says.
The bleachers at Masich Place Stadium have been closed until further notice, meaning parents and fans won’t be able to watch high school football teams compete from the stands tonight.
“The weather is making the bleachers icy and slippery so we are closing them to keep spectators safe,” the City of Prince George announced on their social media accounts. Lawn chairs are not permitted at the stadium, so parents are encouraged to watch the games from outside the stadium fences, the city added.
The Prince George Kodiaks and UNBC TImberwolves soccer teams played their final games of the season at Masich Place Stadium in October, but the high school football teams are expected to play at the stadium until Nov. 19.
