People at the scene were told to lock doors and turn out the lights, and law enforcement from three Annapolis agencies responded. Just before 7 p.m., officials issued an all-clear notice.
In a joint statement, Senate President Bill Ferguson and House Speaker Adrienne A. Jones said: “We want to thank all the law enforcement officers who responded today. We and everyone else in the legislative complex are grateful for their presence as we continue to do the people’s work.”
