The incident began Friday evening in Bel Air and ended in Baltimore, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. "The initial investigation indicates the suspect, identified as Michael D. Stevens II, 38, from Abingdon, had just been released from the Harford County Detention Center before stealing the vehicle," police said in a statement.

"Stevens was returned to the Detention Center at 9:20 p.m., where he faces charges of motor vehicle theft and two counts of 1st degree assault, two counts of 2nd degree assault, and failing to obey a lawful order," the statement added."He is currently being held on no bond."
