But according to Martin Lewis, Scots can make claims for flights impacted within the last five years. However, the expert stressed that the tips only apply if the cancelled or delayed flight is the airline's fault due to factors like staff shortages - compared to "extraordinary" weather events which they aren't responsible for.
Another tip Lewis shared relates to vouchers that airlines will often give to passengers as compensation. However, Lewis stressed that flyers aren't obligated to accept these instead of money.
