Money Saving Expert says millions of Tesco Clubcard vouchers will expire today as it reaches the end of the month but there is a trick you can try to extend them
Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert has issued a warning to millions of Tesco Clubcard holders, urging them to spend 50p by today. The financial advice website stated earlier this week: "If you've got a Tesco Clubcard, check when your vouchers are due to expire as you've only days left to spend or extend nearly £17 million-worth before they run out on Friday 31 May."
The site cautioned: "Technically, under the Clubcard T&Cs, Tesco can refuse a Reward Partner order if it decides you're trying to game the system by redeeming vouchers just to extend their validity but we tested the trick at MSE Towers this month and it worked just fine." MSE explained the process further: "The remaining balance is credited back to your Clubcard account as points. So if you spend 50p using a £5 Clubcard voucher, you'll get 450 points back . You can then swap your points for vouchers manually or wait for them to be converted with your next statement.", reports Birmingham Live.
