Martin Lewis is making a career move this week and is 'bricking it'
He's usually in his comfort zone dispensing financial advice in rapid fire fashion but this week Martin Lewis is returning to his roots and doing something he admits is making him extremely nervous.
But although Martin has admitted to 'bricking it' over the change of scene, Martin told his listeners that he's actually no stranger to comedians - and 'what people might not know' is he used to be a stand-up comic himself.Martin told his BBC Sounds podcast listeners: "I am presenting Have I Got News For You for the first time next week and I am absolutely bricking it, between us.
"And what happened on Would I Lie To You is that when something came up that I thought was funny and I wanted to say it, I find after doing 20 years of family television and talking about important subjects, my brain went through this flow diagram of filters 'would that be appropriate to say?; 'what would the reaction be if I said that?', and by the time I'd gone through the filtration process of 'can I say it', they were already on the next subject.
