A Boaz man is being held in the Marshall County Jail on attempted murder charges after an incident Monday. Albertville police say officers were dispatched to a local apartment complex and found a woman with a wound to her neck. The victim named Rafael Camacho, 25, of Boaz, as the man responsible for her injury.
Police say the woman was stabbed while she was in a vehicle with Camacho, who put her out on Baltimore Avenue, where she sought help at the apartment complex. She was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. Police did not comment on the victim’s condition. According to police, officers later arrested Camacho at a Dollar General after a report of a man passing counterfeit money.
