The coronavirus will rewrite established rules of inter-regional movement as boundaries change from defined sovereign state borders to areas infected or otherwise.
It may result in all kinds of unpopular restrictions and irritations; it will inconvenience people’s travel arrangements, but we all accept that the alternative is too ghastly to contemplate, so we’ll deal with it, in the hope that one day we’ll celebrate the ingenuity of a cure.
