World Snooker association has disciplined the Antrim man

Mark Allen has vowed to 'say absolutely nothing in interviews' in future after he was fined by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association .

Allen became only the 10th player in history to win three ranking titles in the same season, with January's Grand Prix win elevating him to a career-high third in the world rankings. He was not too impressed with his display in the decider against Judd Trump and said as much in his interview live on TV after the final. The Antrim potter held his nerve in the final frame to clinch a 10-9 win at the Centaur Arena in Cheltenham.

It was a nerve-racking ending for Allen, who led 7-2 and then 8-4 before Trump rallied to force a final-frame decider.Allen has now been fined by the governing body and took to Twitter to share his frustrations. Allen posted: "Thanks to @WPBSAofficial for the nice fine I received via email. In future I’ll not be human and say absolutely nothing in my interviews. Have a lovely day."
