'March for Our Lives' rallies will be held on Saturday, June 11 in Chicago, Downers Grove, Palatine, Crystal Lake, Elgin, St. Charles & Highland Park.
CHICAGO -- There are several March for Our Lives demonstrations planned in the Chicago area and nationwide on Saturday, June 11.
Trevon Bosley was just 7 years old when his 18-year-old brother, Terrell, was shot and killed in 2006 outside the Lights of Zion church where he was about to rehearse with the band. His family has been working to try to prevent gun violence ever since. Bosley is part of a group at the church called BRAVE, or Bold Resistance Against Violence Everywhere. His mother heads a group of moms called Purpose over Pain. They say the recent mass shootings in Uvalde and Buffalo seem to have created momentum in the gun control movement.
