Marc Roca was allowed to leave Leeds United just one year after joining from Bayern Munich
Marc Roca has revealed he enjoyed every minute of being a Leeds United player. The Spaniard spent just one season at Elland Road before seeking pastures new when he joined Real Betis on a season-long loan.
Daniel Farke was happy to let the 26-year-old leave on loan in the summer, with Betis quick to pounce. Roca has swapped a Championship campaign for a crack at the Europa League but, speaking to Spanish outlet Marca, admitted Leeds hold a place in his heart.“I didn’t stop enjoying it at any time,” he said. “We had a great dressing room, a great atmosphere and I participated a lot. It was a year of personal growth, of intensity in the Premier League, playing against the best.
“I haven’t spoken to him in a few days but, when he came, we were chatting,” he added. “I have a very special appreciation for him. He trusted me at a time when it was a bit complicated.
