Remeaise, 65, spent five hours cheering on the runners with her feelgood music
A Dancing Gran who went vital at the London Marathon for her enthusiastic cheering on of the runners has secured a spot in a music video. Remeaise Irish-Downes from London, 65, who donned a leopard print leotard and fur coat, and armed herself with a megaphone and boom box speaker to hype up runners at the notorious 16 mile wall of the 26.2 mile race.
Social media users uploaded videos of the diminutive granny, who showed as much energy as the runners themselves. Runners high fived and fist pumped as they ran past, with some even stopping for a snap and to say thanks. "Anywhere I go I love to dance and people are always magnating towards me. But I’m absolutely blown away my hip-shaking moves at this age have gained so much interest.”
