Shalulile finished the 2021/2022 DStv Premiership season as the top scorer with 23 goals, falling two goals short of Mbesuma's record of 25.
"It was very unfortunate, we had spoken about it to try and support him as much as we can, even if we were to get a penalty we were going to give it to him but unfortunately that maybe caused a little bit of anxiety on 'Kutu' [Thabiso Kutumela]," Mngqithi also gave thanks to everyone involved at the club after clinching a fifth straight league title.
"To also thank the administrative staff in making sure that everything that we needed was always provided timeously. We had a very bad breakout now of flu and they were there to support us.
