, United boss Ralf Rangnick has put forward to the England defender the idea that Cristiano Ronaldo should be the club's skipper for the rest of the season.
The German coach has reportedly already asked that Ronaldo be a mentor to United starlets such as Jadon Sancho, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford as he looks to foster a positive atmosphere in the Old Trafford dressing room.
