Manchester United have finished eighth to seal an unwanted record of their lowest ever Premier League finish.
But despite a 2-0 win over Brighton thanks to goals from Diogo Dalot and Rasmus Hojlund, they have finished eighth to mark their worst ever final standing since the competition's inception in 1992. They can still qualify for Europe next season though as victory in the FA Cup final against Manchester City would give them a spot in the Europa League.
Man United end the season having won just 18 of their 38 league games, 14 defeats, six draws and a goal difference of -2.They also crashed out of the Champions League at the group stage and exited the Carabao Cup in the fourth round.
