It's not the first time this trendy neighbourhood has been recognised
One of Manchester's most popular neighbourhoods has been named the second 'coolest' in Britain by a national publication - and it's not the first time it has been bestowed the honour.
Earlier this year, the hip Manchester district found itself in a list of the world's coolest places. Cutting Room Square in Ancoats was named as of of the 33 Coolest Streets in the World according to Time Out Magazine. Also representing the North, Liverpool's Baltic Triangle, Ouseburn in Newcastle, and Meanwood in Leeds all made the cut, with Sheffield's Kelham Island and Stockbridge in Edinburgh also receiving a nod and glowing write-up.
Giving its readers some tips as to where to head, The Telegraph gave nods to Elnecot, as somewhere "where cool industrial décor meets a warm, friendly vibe, is a fine brunch and Sunday roast spot", as well as Rudy's, which as we all know is famed for its Neapolitan pizzas. In terms of shopping, the publication added: "Newly minted districts usually get to retail last. For now, Ancoats is best for tattoos, Tooth and Talon; beard-tidying, Jersey Street Social Club; and the mini-market reinvention that is the General Store on Blossom Street.
