Latest Manchester City transfer news and gossip includes an update on Dani Olmo and Julian Alvarez
The Spain international was one of the standout performers for Luis de la Fuente's side in their Euro 2024 winning campaign, and has a number of clubs lining up for his signature. Barca are said to have made a bid worth £42m for Olmo but Leipzig are expected to rebuff their attempt, with Barca only willing to pay £28.3m upfront and the rest being add-ons.
However, it is said the 26-year-old would favour a move to the La Liga giants and his agent is set to meet with Barcelona officials this weekend. Due to their financial issues, the Spanish outfit must offload players before they buy. Elsewhere, the club are reported to have named their asking price for Julian Alvarez. The Argentine is said to be keen to leave the Etihad after being restricted to regular game time.
Atletico Madrid are thought to be unwilling to meet City's demands while it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will approach City for a move.
