Smuggler who exported £53m of rare baby eels 'can't recall where profits are due to dementia'
A SMUGGLER convicted of exporting £53million of rare baby eels cannot recall where the profits are because he has dementia, a court heard.
He imported the endangered elvers from Spain, storing them in Gloucestershire before sending them to Heathrow for export hidden beneath chilled fish, an earlier trial was told.
