An extra defensive midfielder to help support and add competition for Casemiro seems the most pressing issue andhave been linked with a move for Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat for much of the transfer window. But Premier League rivals Liverpool have now reportedly entered the fray as the Reds wait to see if there are any departures which free up funds to secure further additions.
The transfer window is in full swing and United have got their hands on three players well in advance of the September 1 deadline, with Rasmus Hojlund joining Mason Mount and Andre Onana at Old Trafford.
