United will be without Rasmus Hojlund for six weeks.
Ten Hag wants more new faces at Old Trafford Manchester United are ready to step up their efforts to sign a striker and a centre-half after confirmation of a major double injury blow for Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro. £52million signing Yoro is facing three months on the sidelines having suffered a broken metatarsal in the pre-season clash with Arsenal in California last weekend. Hojlund was forced off in the same game with a hamstring problem that will sideline him for six weeks.
Toney back on United’s radar Brentford star Ivan Toney is named as one option being considered. The England international has just one year left on his contract in west London with the Bees hoping to get a fee of around £50m for the 28-year-old. United had also hoped to bring in another new centre-half alongside Yoro with Bayern Munich star Matthijs de Ligt or Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite the club’s preferred options.
