Earlier in September, it was reported that Marcus Rashford was one of three options on the French side's shortlist for a new attacker in the most recent transfer window, along with Gianluca Scamacca and Robert Lewandowski. Previous reports had also suggested that Les Parisiens superstar Kylian Mbappe pushed for PSG to sign the English forward.
This has left the Manchester club in a precarious situation as his contract is set to expire at the end of this season, leaving the footballer in a position where he could negotiate a pre-contract with a new club in January. , however, the Red Devils have now decided they will secure the forward's future before the turn of the year as they do not want to part ways with the player.
Ten Hag's side are now expected to exercise their option to extend his deal by a further 12 months, and then offer him a new contract.
