Manchester United got their first away victory in the Premier League after defeating Burnley 1-0 on Saturday evening.

United manager Erik Ten Hag gave Jonny Evans his first start of the season along with Hannibal Mjebri, as the Clarets preferred Aaron Ramsey ahead of the suspended South African Lyle Foster.

The Swiss international was in again inside the midway point of the first half as Ramsey thread him in-behind to go clear and struck the foot of the post – having beaten the offside trap. Burnley looked to have gone behind when Evans headed in from a corner-kick on 25 minutes, but it went for a pitch-side review and was called back following an infringement.

In the second half, the visitors were keen to get a second through balls in the area by Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rashford but the deliveries didn’t reach the desired effect.
