A 31-year-old man accused of killing his live-in lover will appear in the Bafokeng Magistrate’s Court in Tlhabane on Wednesday to apply for bail.
The State is opposing Thabo Moabi’s formal bail application. He is accused of killing his girlfriend, Segametsi Molefe, 30, in Mogajane outside Rustenburg on March 27, after they had an argument. He allegedly hid her body underneath a bed. His younger brother called the police after Moabi disclosed to him that he killed Segametse. When the police arrived they found Moabi playing with his five-year-old stepdaughter on the bed, while Segametsi’s body was found under the bed.
