The Saanich Police Department is investigating a crash that left a pedestrian with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries and closed part of the Trans-Canada Highway Thursday.
An initial police investigation has revealed the driver of a red Toyota Prius struck a pedestrian, a 22-year-old man, seriously injuring him, police said in a news release.“There is information circulating on social media relating to the circumstances that may have caused this collision. As the investigation is still in the early stages, we are not in a position to confirm this information until all witnesses have provided their information to our investigators,” police said in the release.
