Paul Lidwith, from Merseyside, said passengers waited five hours on the plane
A man from Merseyside was one of thousands of passengers caught up in severe disruption due to flooding at Dubai's International Airport following an intense storm.
Paul claimed he had not been given any food or water and that he'd had no updates about his onward flight to Manchester. He said: "This airport is for cargo planes and it deals with maybe half a dozen flights a day. Emirates announced it had suspended check-in for passengers departing from Dubai from 8am on Wednesday, April 17, for the rest of the day "due to operational challenges caused by bad weather and road conditions". In a statement, a spokesperson for the airline said: "Passengers arriving in Dubai and already in transit will continue to be processed for their flights.
