The area of the car park was cordoned off
Officers from Northamptonshire Police were scrambled to a car park in Brackley last night, Tuesday March 28, after a man was slashed with a knife during a robbery. The incident comes less than a week after teenager Fred Shand was fatally stabbed in Northampton.
Residents on Twitter were quick to react to the incident, with West Northants Councillor James Hill tweeting, "Hearing reports a of another stabbing of a young lad, this time in Brackley. What is going on our streets?!"ITV News Anglia reporter Graham Stothard further tweeted: "Unconfirmed reports on social media of another stabbing tonight in Brackley. If verified, will come less than a week after a fatal stabbing in Northampton.
“The suspect is described as a black man, aged 20-30, wearing blue shorts and a grey hoodie. He had a Cockney accent and fled the scene in a white Audi Q3." Cllr Hill tweeted again this morning saying "Clearly what we are currently doing is not enough. We need a fresh multiagency approach to solve this issue. I’ll speaking with colleagues and associates to look at can be done."
