The man’s wife had driven him to his father’s house in an attempt to “starve him of marijuana.” After he asked his father, 65, for some cannabis and was refused, he decided to launch his protest, climbing out of a second-storey window to access the roof.
Eventually, natural forces won out as the heat and the man’s hunger forced him down and he was taken to for a checkup at a local hospital. The Thaiger also reports that Ya Ba, a popular drug made of methamphetamine mixed with caffeine and pressed into a pill, has led people to unscrupulous behaviour in the past.
The arrest of the 70-year-old woman, who reportedly grew the plant for medical purposes, including boiling the leaves for tea, spurred a protest as neighbours filed a complaint about both the initial denial of bail and the fact that the pair were arrested without a warrant.
