Police believe the crime in the 7200 block of Woodman Avenue was gang-related.
A 31-year-old man was killed at a gas station in Van Nuys Saturday morning, June 11 in what police believe was a gang-related shooting.
The victim, identified by Los Angeles police as Rene Hernandez of Panorama City, pulled up to a 76 Gas Station in the 7200 block of Woodman Avenue at Sherman Way, when the suspect walked up, pulled a handgun and fired multiple shots, LAPD spokeswoman Officer Norma Eisenman said.The suspect ran to a pickup truck parked nearby and fled the location, the spokeswoman said. She said investigators believe the shooting was gang-related.
