A man fought with another man before shooting him after accusing him of stealing things from a van in far west Houston, officials said.
Detectives around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday responded to a shooting in the 9200 block of Rasmus Drive and arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound to the groin, Lt. Ronnie Willkens said.Investigators as of late Tuesday were working to determine exactly what had happened, Willkens said. But witnesses said two men had dropped a van off in a parking lot near the address about a week prior.
The two men approached another man late Tuesday and accused him of stealing from the van, Willkens said. One of the two men then punched the third man in the face and held him at gunpoint before shooting him in the groin.
