The fatal shooting is the second in the Jersey Shore city this summer.
A 33-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday evening in Asbury Park, authorities said.
Kyshawn Walker had been shot multiple times when police were called to the 1600 block of Sewall Avenue around 7:30 p.m., the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said Friday. Walker, of Asbury Park, was brought to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.Anyone with information is asked to call prosecutor’s office Detective Matthew Delgado at 800-533-7443 or Asbury Park Police police Detective Anthony Houlis at 732-774-1300.On July 8, Dariel Vernet, 19, of Asbury Park, was gunned down in the area of Prospect and Atlantic avenues, less than a mile from where Thursday’s shooting occurred.
