We meet the couple behind Georgian Quarter pub The Blackburne Arms
The 43-year-old was born in Stockbridge Village but his family moved to Woking in Surrey when he was young. He started his career in Woking's pubs, before going to work for Marco Pierre White at his Yew Tree gastropub near Newbury.
"It's taken a lot of time and effort to get it to where it should be. We're very popular, but I want to get more people in." "We went down to one of the awards in Manchester and there were a lot of pubs up for things but I thought 'we're so much better than a lot of them'. We really need to put ourselves out there a little bit more."
"Our staff all know what they're doing, they're all very, very well trained here. They're all confident and they all know everything about what we do.
