Morecambe man pushed off his bike before robber cycles off with stolen transport
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 54-year-old had his bike stolen whilst he was riding it in Morecambe.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at around 4.40pm when the victim was cycling down the cycle track close to Millennium bridge when a male pursued him and push him off his bike. The male, dressed in a black coat and pants, then cycled the orange and black mountain bike back over the Millennium Bridge towards Sketron.In a statement shared on social media, Morecambe police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery that occurred at 16:40 on 27th September 2022. The 54 year old victim had been cycling down the cycle track parallel to Morecambe road towards Lancaster city centre.
"He then took his bike and cycled back across Millennium bridge towards Skerton. Lots of people were in the vicinity and some spoke to the victim. The bike stolen was an orange and black trek mountain bike. "If you witnessed this incident please get in touch with police quoting log number LC-20220927-0911."
