Liam O’Pray, 21, appeared at Manchester Crown Court on Friday, October 21, for a plea hearing in relation to four offences.
The counts relate to the same incident in Altrincham, which tragically left 31-year-old Rico Burton dead in the early hours of August 21, in the Goose Green area.Mr O'Pray entered not guilty pleas to the offence of murder, and denied an offence of wounding with intent of a 17-year-old boy who was injured during the incident.Mr O'Pray, of no fixed abode, was remanded into custody following the short hearing.
The Recorder of Manchester, Judge Nicholas Dean QC, said a hearing would be held on January 13 ahead of the trial on February 6, which is expected to last up to 10 days.
