Police believe the road would have been busy at the time

A man in his 30s suffered facial injuries when he was assaulted in Kettering on Bonfire Night. Northamptonshire Police is appealing for witnesses.

The incident took place shortly after 9.25pm on Saturday, November 5, when a small group of people were walking along Windmill Avenue. They had attended the firework display at Wicksteed Park that evening. One of the group - a man in his 30s - stepped into the road, causing a black car to stop. Several occupants got out of the car and assaulted the man, knocking him to the ground. The man suffered facial injuries which required hospital treatment.Officers from Northants Police said they believed the road would have been busy at the time. They want to speak to anyone who witnessed or captured dash-cam footage of the incident.
