The man reportedly suffered a head injury after being struck

Officers and paramedics from North West Ambulance service were called to Fleet Street after reports a man had been knocked over by a van at around 9 am on Thursday.

Police tape was in place restricting access to Fleet Street from Concert Street to David Lewis Street as officers remained at the scene to continue their investigations.
