The man had just left a licenced premises on Falls Road when he was attacked
At around 10.30pm on Sunday night, October 15, the man aged in his 60s was walking up Waterford Way after leaving a licensed premises in the Falls Road area.
A spokesperson for the PSNI added: "An investigation is underway and anyone with any information or who may have any doorbell footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 179 16/10/23.
