A Texas Panhandle man was sentenced to life plus 300 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child and 10 counts of producing child pornography, including filming himself sexually assaulting children, officials said.

EL PASO, Texas — A Texas Panhandle man was sentenced Wednesday to life plus 300 years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child and 10 counts of producing child pornography, includingJohnny George Gonzalez, 35, admitted to filming himself sexually abusing at least six children, ranging in age from 4 to 10 years old, beginning in 2014.

Canadian authorities detected his activities late last summer and alerted the FBI, which executed a search warrant at Gonzalez's home in El Paso. Agents said they found more than 65 electronic devices, including laptop computers, desktop computers, computer hard drives, cellphones, thumb drives and tablets.
