Gavin Mclean has been named locally as the man found dead on Tuesday morning.
Police were called to Aberfoyle Street at 3am on Tuesday morning following reports of the death of a man. Emergency services attended and a 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tributes have been paid to Gavin by shocked loved ones who have described him as a 'good guy', reports the Daily Record.Leading the tributes, Jacqueline Boyle said: “My wee cuz, nobody will ever take your place. You were some boy. I will miss our wee talks x”Shelby Mann commented: “RIP to my big cousin Gavin, you will be sorely missed. What a shocker. He was a good guy, a cheery dude. He will be missed.
Steven McGowan said: “RIP Gavin Mclean, was only chatting to you a few weeks ago on video call arranging a wee night out for a catch up. Seriously gutted pal.” William Cozmo Collins wrote: “Just heard Gavin McLean passed away last night. Rest easy my homie. Real Haghill boys.”Police cordoned off Irongray Street to Aberdour Street in the Haghill area following the incident. Forensic teams were called in to examine the area while a Police Scotland mobile wellbeing unit was also seen on site.A 55-year-old man appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court in charged with murder on Wednesday, 21 December, 2022.
