OAKLAND — A man was fatally shot Wednesday morning in East Oakland, authorities said.The shooting, which prompted a gunshot-detection alert, happened about 6:29 a.m. Wednesday outside in the 1900 block of 90th Avenue, police said.
Responding officers found shell casings and a blood trail but did not locate the person who had been shot, authorities said. But the victim had gotten his own transportation to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead soon after arrival, authorities said.
