Police said it appears to be a targeted killing, but don’t know yet if it’s related to ongoing gang activity in the city.
According to Surrey RCMP, officers were called to the area of Abbey Drive and 176th Street in Fraser Heights just after 5 p.m. following a report of shots fired.
Mounties arrived at the scene to discover a male suffering from gunshot injuries. The victim, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene.Traffic is being rerouted around the scene, which has been cordoned off, though traffic on 176th Street is not currently being affected.
