The 60-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene
The driver of a red Jaguar XK8 Coupe was travelling along the on the A83 Old Military Road, near Ardgartan in Argyll and Bute on Saturday, September 24 when it drove off the road. Medics rushed to the collision at 6.05pm but sadly, the 70-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for almost eight hours to allow police to carry out investigations. It re-opened at 1.55am today. Officers have launched a probe into the fatal crash and have urged any witnesses to come forward. In particular, they want to speak to the driver of a blue Fiat who is believed to have seen the car prior to the collision.
