Man charged with culpable homicide after dogs maul girlfriend to death in Bloemfontein
A man whose girlfriend was mauled by dogs in his yard will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Thursday on a charge of culpable homicide.
The 48-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, a day after his 28-year-old girlfriend was attacked by two pit bulls and two rottweilers. The dogs mauled her to death at his home in Namibia Square, Bloemfontein. Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Thabo Covane said the man was arrested in terms of the Animal Matters Amendment Act No 40 of 1993.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
